Our mission is to provide you with all the satellite related data you are looking for: Downlink (EIRP) and uplink (G/T) footprint maps, frequency plans, TV/radio channels, satellite information, etc. SatStar can also help you develop custom applications according to your requirements.
Tell Me More
Satellite data like downlink (EIRP) and uplink (G/T) footprint maps, frequency plans, TV/radio channels, satellite information (e.g. launch date, bus, etc.) can be very hard to find and not available from one source. If you find what you are looking for, you have to spend a lot of time processing the information to be able to use it and, still, there are probably a lot of data which is not in the correct format. SatStar has the solution to this problem.
SatStar maintains a database with all this information which can be delivered in a file format of your choice. It can be used by professionals, e.g. for budget link calculations, RF interference geolocation, etc. and can easily be integrated into different custom applications. All our footprint maps are available as images, as vector data, e.g. KML/KMZ files, or as raster data. We can also provide you with high resolution custom made footprints and an extended beam data option for raster and vector data, which is an approximation of the footprint coverage area outside the official bounds, if required, down to a customer specific EIRP or G/T level. Please find some demo files below available to download for your review:
Eutelsat 10B (10°E), Wide L/R C-band beam
Vector data (KML-files): Uplink | Downlink
Raster data (DAT-files): Uplink | Downlink
Arabsat 5A (30.5°E), C-band beam
High resolution footprint (PDF-file): Uplink
Astra 4A (4.8°E), Africa V Ku-band beam
Extended beam coverage (PNG-file): Downlink
If you are looking for functionality, rather than data only, we can help you access information by creating a web interface on the SatStar website for database queries according to your specific requirements. We can also provide you with an API, e.g. a SOAP interface, to perform remote custom queries from your own website or from your own application.
Our client list includes many of the leading companies within the satellite industry, government agencies, etc. We are very proud of our client list, many of whom have used our services for many years.

Downlink (EIRP) Footprint Maps
Uplink (G/T) Footprint Maps
Click on a satellite name below to see available downlink (EIRP) beams. Move the pointer over the beam names to see a small overview footprint map. If you click on a beam name, larger footprint maps will be shown.
Please note that we do not publish our uplink (G/T) footprint maps on our website. For more information about satellite footprint maps, please refer to our frequently asked questions. If you have any information about footprint maps currently not listed on the website, please let us know.
Our professional BeamFinder tool is an application which is using Google Maps in combination with our footprint map overlays. This is a perfect example of how our data can be used in a customized application. By selecting a service area, BeamFinder will provide you with the satellite coverage and present a list of all receivable downlink/uplink satellite beams, including TV and radio channels, at a specific location, on a route or in a geographic area, based on the selected satellite capacity, e.g., frequency band, a min. required EIRP - G/T and a min. elevation angle.
Additional BeamFinder features include satellite frequency plans, print/download information, user administration, select specific output columns, show encrypted channels/packages, specify orbital range and min. coverage, etc.
The BeamFinder interface can be customized based on your specific requirements. It can also be branded to reflect your own business identity (logo, colours, images, etc.) and accessible to users via a specific subdomain, e.g., your company name (companyname.satstar.net).
If you are a commercial client or representing an academic institution or government agency/research institute, please contact us to request access to our demo version. Please note, unfortunately, we are unable to offer access for private individuals.

TV Channels in Database
Radio Channels in Database
Click on a satellite name below to see available downlink beams. Move the pointer over the beam names to see the number of available free-to-air channels. If you click on a beam name, a channel list will be shown. To access technical details, please click on a channel name.
Please note that we do not publish our complete channel database on our website, which also includes encrypted channels, packages, feeds, data, test card and occasional use muxes. This free-to-air channel listing is limited to 11,053 TV channels and 5,185 radio channels.
